     This sculpture depicts two quail exploding into flight.  The birds are California quail, but bobwhite quail can also be requested.  You can just feel the innate action in this piece.  These quail are mounted on a base of polished granite, which enhances the quality, beauty and stability of this sculpture.  The quail are finished in a superb rich combination of natural brown, grey, white, and red patinas.
